Hey there. I'm Kaitlyn. In my little corner of the internet here, I'm aiming to indulge all of my whims, to follow my curiosity where it leads me. At a lecture at my old university, the Scottish Artist Martin Boyce once described his approach to learning as 'wild knowledge,' roaming where it will, taking in whatever it likes. I've always loved that phrase, and I hope that I can carry that with me.
I'm primarily interested in modern and contemporary art, but my love of the old masters is always creeping up on me. I think that art is an important part of what it means to be human and that it needs to be discussed and interrogated. I post exhibition and art book reviews, my thoughts about specific art works, discussions of art events, and anything else that catches my fancy.
